Wood or Multi Fuel

Wood Burning Stoves are built without a fix grate, but rather with a flat base. As when the wood burns, ashes are collected and when it needs more fuel, logs can be placed on top. This is greatly beneficial because as wood burns the logs combust more effectively and evenly on the bed of ashes. Giving you maximum heat output and efficiency from your Wood Burning Stove.

Being carbon natural wood is the better fuel for the environment. This is because the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is the same of that absorbed by the tree during growth. Its also a renewable resource, practicality when dived from plantations and cultivated woodland. For optimum results, DP Fireplaces & Stoves recommend logs that have been seasoned for at least two years or have a moisture content of twenty percent or less. Doing this will give out twice the output of freshly cut timber.

In addition to Wood Burning we also offer a large range of Multi Fuel Stoves, which are capable of burning a variety of materials other than wood. These feature a fixed or riddling grate and can burn smokeless fuels, anthracite and peat/turf.
